Need Temporary Housing Before Your Baby Arrives?

If you are pregnant and do not have a safe place to stay, you are not alone, and you do not have to figure this out by yourself.

Imago Dei Ministry Homes is a maternity home that accepts expecting mothers at any stage of pregnancy, including women who are days or weeks from their due date. We provide housing, meals, transportation to medical appointments, and personal support from house parents who live on-site.

You do not need to have your situation figured out before you call. Just call.

We Accept Women at Any Stage of Pregnancy, Including Close to Their Due Date

Most maternity homes require women to arrive months before their due date. We understand that is not always possible.

A housing crisis does not follow a schedule. Women leave unsafe situations in their third trimester. Women lose housing unexpectedly a week before they give birth. Women travel from out of state because local options are full or unavailable.

We work with each woman individually to determine how we can help, regardless of how far along she is. If you are close to your due date and need housing now, please reach out today. Do not assume it is too late to ask.

Nutritious meals are provided every day. You will not need to worry about groceries or cooking while you focus on your health and your baby’s arrival.

Transportation to All Medical Appointments

We provide transportation to prenatal visits, ultrasounds, labor and delivery, and postpartum checkups. If labor starts at 2 a.m., we make sure you get to the hospital.

📚

Prenatal & Newborn Care Education

We offer birthing preparation, newborn care education, and mentorship through the transition into early motherhood. We meet you where you are, whether this is your first pregnancy or you simply need additional support.

💛

Emotional Support

Our house parents are present every day and provide consistent, personal support through the final weeks of pregnancy and into the postpartum period. You are not handed off to rotating staff who do not know your story.

Who We Serve

We serve expecting mothers who need temporary or transitional housing. Women come to us from a wide range of circumstances.

  • Pregnant and without stable housing immediately or in the coming weeks
  • Leaving an unsafe or unstable living situation
  • Third trimester with no stable place to deliver and recover
  • Lacking family support or financial resources during pregnancy
  • Due date approaching with no plan in place

Our program includes faith-based elements including a Bible study and weekly church attendance. You do not need to be a Christian to live here. Women of all beliefs and backgrounds are welcome. However, participation in bible study and church attendance is required.

Peaceful home environment for expecting mothers

What we are not able to provide: We are not equipped to support women with active substance dependency or significant mental health needs beyond mild depression or anxiety. If this describes your situation, please contact 211 (free, available 24/7 nationwide) for a referral to the right resources. We want to help you find the right fit, even if that is not us.
