So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them. – Genesis 1:27

About Us

“Each mama and their precious baby were made in God’s image for such a time as this. We feel so privileged to come alongside them in this season.”

Brad & Patti Thorstenson

Founders & Directors

As a couple, founders, and the directors of Imago Dei Ministries, Brad and Patti Thorstenson, both have a heart for serving and honoring the Lord. In 2020, Patti was prophesied over that she would start, not one, but several single mother’s maternity homes. As they waited on the Lord’s timing, God finally released upon them to start working on a home in the beginning of 2025. The name He gave to them for their ministry was “Imago Dei”, which means “made in the image of God.”

Each mother and their precious baby were made in God’s image for such a time as this.

Brad and Patti have been married for 37 amazing years.  They have 5 children, 5 in-loves, and 7 grandchildren.  Their greatest joys and rewards come from making memories with their family, serving alongside them on mission trips, in church, and in the community. Being a part of building a beautiful, long-lasting legacy of serving, and sharing Jesus Christ with their family and the world, is truly one of their greatest parenting highlights.

Patti grew up in Longview, WA and from a young adult she enjoyed babysitting and working in the church nursery. Patti’s past experiences as a single mom has made a mark on her heart, especially with unwed single moms and their children. As an adult, she enjoyed teaching 5-day clubs in her home and AWANA’s at Church.  In later years, her love for mentoring women has grown to discipling them in the word of God. She has a passion in helping women to heal from their pains and to be delivered from darkness so they can walk out their lives in freedom, truly understand their identity, experience incredible anointing, and the authority they have through Christ.

Brad also grew up in the Longview area, playing sports and loving it. Immediately out of High School, he went to work for his parents and eventually bought their business in 1992. Running the family’s business brought Brad a lot of joy, challenges, and blessings. He has since retired and their youngest son is now running the business. Brad has a true servant’s heart. He is always willing to serve in whatever capacity needed, especially during years of mission trips.  He is known to have a true shepherd’s heart and co-leads Christian home groups with Patti, serving all ages of men and women.

The heart of the Thorstenson’s greatest desire is to see the hurts and broken blood lines in families be replaced by the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ. They feel so privileged to have this opportunity in such a season in many young women’s lives to help in giving them a new identity, heritage, and a legacy to their baby, and future generations.
